Upcoming Subscription Events
It has only taken us a few years to figure this out, but not everyone
flies by the seat of their pants and occasionally, some like to plan.
So, we have gathered up the family programs from the top venues
around town. In some cases, tickets are available only on
subscription, for others, individual tickets are now available. For
still others – especially the Best of Broadway series, the schedule
has not yet been finalized. Given how quickly many of these
events sell out, we are listing them for your planning pleasure.
Peninsula Youth Theater
The Peninsula Youth Arts Theater features two different series
including Stories on Stage, which translates popular stories into
dramatic productions and Center Stage, where the company
performs popular musicals.

My Son Pinocchio: Gepetto's Musical Tale

When aging toymaker Geppetto wishes for his puppet “son” to
come to life, he has no idea what he’s in for! This heartwarming
musical features songs from the beloved Disney film as well as a
score by Stephen Schwartz, the composer of Wicked.

Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts
A resourceful mouse tries to fit in with his family of humans and
their pet cat in this musical adaptation of E.B. White's classic
novel. Stuart's ever more daring escapades -- from racing
sailboats to substitute teaching to striking out on his own to
rescue a friend -- show you don't have to be big to have an
adventure! A YoungStage Production.
Bye Bye Birdie
July 30 - August 7, 2011
Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts
When rock star Conrad Birdie gets drafted, he plans to release
one last single and plant "one last kiss" on one of his adoring
fans. Conrad and his entourage shake up little Sweet Apple, Ohio
when Kim McAfee is selected for the honor. This Tony-award
winning musical classic features hits that will get you dancing in
the aisles!
Stories on Stage
Breathe life into your favorite literature in our Stories on Stage
program -- special 45-minute shows designed to get kids
interested in reading. Share the book, then see the play! All
shows take place at the Mountain View Center for the Performing
Arts.
How to Eat Fried Worms

Billy must eat 15 worms in 15 days -- or swallow his pride.
Best of Broadway
The Best of Broadway series is just that – the touring companies
of the best shows from Broadway are brought to San Francisco.
These are first class performances and a delight. Not all is family
friendly, but a lot is.
